Built on experience
Building companies.
Backing founders.
After more than two decades building and growing a niche SaaS company, I’m enjoying a new chapter: investing in promising founders, sharing what I’ve learned, and occasionally building something new.
01 / What draws me in
Useful ideas.
Thoughtful people.
I enjoy being a sounding board, sharing practical lessons, and learning about something new.
- Thoughtful founders building useful software
- Bringing modern technology to traditional industries
- A particular interest in women-led companies
- Real-world problems worth solving
- Connections in the Pacific Northwest
02 / How I work
The things I come back to.
Focus
My best work has come from saying no to most things, so I can give the most important work the attention it deserves.
Think long term
I believe lasting business value comes from building for the future, even when that means accepting costs today.
Build together
Two heads are better than one. The right collaboration multiplies what each of us could accomplish alone.
Speak candidly
I value giving and receiving honest feedback, with care and without ego. Getting to a better answer matters more than being right.
Get better every day
Small improvements and persistence, sustained over months and years, add up to remarkable results.
Create tangible value
I’m drawn to solving business problems. When someone chooses to pay for a solution, it’s a concrete signal that it’s creating value for them.
03 / A little background

Harry & Laurie Hollander
A builder at heart.
I co-founded Moraware in 2003 and spent more than twenty years as co-CEO, building software for countertop fabricators. Along the way, we grew a profitable SaaS business by staying close to our customers and the problems they needed to solve.
I’ve stepped away from day-to-day management, but I’m still involved as co-chair of Moraware’s board. And I’m as curious as ever about solving business problems through software.
Through H2L2 Ventures, I invest in and advise early-stage founders. It’s the personal investment vehicle I share with my wife Laurie, with me leading the investing and advisory work.
